why do small children find the need to scream like they’re being brutally murdered
Because they have bounds and bounds of energy that they need to find an outlet for. Plus screaming is not only fun to do, but exercises vocal cords, and teaches them what their limits are. Besides they aren’t screaming like they are brutally murdered, it’s just that anyone who doesn’t have kids is incapable of telling the differences between the notes of the different screams and cries. Think of it like a cat. Cats have the ability to produce 1,000 different vocal sounds and octaves. So do kids. Though again, of course everything sounds the same to untrained ears.
